Colour Management.

Just a nice little video where Kevin Kubota runs through how to get good colour management and how to make sure that you have set up Photoshop to be working in the right colour space.

Enjoy.

David Griffin: Photography connects us with the world

Ben if you watch on this link you will be able to read the interactive transcript (its great Ben you can click on the text and it takes you to that part of the talk/clip) Ted.com is amazing

Eye opening!
Such powerful words and images.
As photographers we have a duty to capture and share what we see happening around us.
I don't know what I would be like without photography in my life, photographs and taking photos are such a big part of my life and I plan on keeping it that way.

Hope you enjoy :)

Critique Photos

Just an idea, let me know what you think?

After last Fridays class where we critiqued each others work I was thinking.... Hey why don't we start a Critiquing post?

What does everyone think?

We could either set it up as an anonymous (if people send me (jazz.connors@gmail.com) their images and I'll upload them as admin) or upload yourself with a heading as Critique my image... (or something like that)

Also we could have a feature image from a professional photographer once a week. Voice what we think about the image, good and bad...

I feel it could be both educating and inspiring.

Let me hear your thoughts!

A picture tells 1000 words?

Worth 1000 is a website PACKED with photography and photoshop competitions (there are no real prizes, but hey Pride is pretty good too).

There's anything from beginner to advanced to how the eff did they do that?

Have a squizz at the online galleries (there's thousands of them!), there's lots of inspiration to gain from these.

Especially look in the effects galleries for photoshop techniques or projects you might challenge yourself to, there's some seriously amazingly good (and weird) stuff in there.

Some of the photography galleries:

http://foto.worth1000.com/contests/28186/white-on-white-2012 (white on white. Especially look at the first image here)

Go nuts! There's so much more to this page than just the few links I listed
infrared photography is something that interests me but at the same time something i lack the time to do and research.
